Description
1:
Empty the data buffers and send break to the remote modem
immediately.
3:
Send break to the remote modem immediately.
5:
Send break to the remote modem in sequence with data.
(In on-line data mode with direct mode, then receive break at serial
port).
0, 2, 4:
Immediately send break and enter on-line command state. 1, 3,
5:
Immediately send break through.
(In on-line command mode with V. 42 protocol or normal mode, and
the DTE issues a transmit break command).
0, 1:
Empty the data buffers and send break to the remote

2, 3:
Immediately send break to the remote modem.
4, 5:
Send break to the remote modem in sequence with data.
(In on-line data mode with normal mode, receive break signal from
remote at modem port, send to serial port).
0, 1:
Empty the data buffers and send break to the local DTE.

Immediately send break to local DTE.
4, 5:
Send break to local DTE in sequence with data.

connection the modem can establish.

Normal mode. No protocol, but flow control is allowed.

Direct mode. No protocol and no flow control is allowed.

MNP reliable mode.

LAPM, MNP or Normal Mode. (default)
AT\N4
LAPM or MNP mode.
