Device Setting
Description
Timing
Use this group of parameters to specify the clock source as
Internal
or
External (
REF CLK
or
EXT CLK
), to set the external reference clock’s frequency
and to enable the
Sync Clock Out
(see the
Timing
table below).
Trigger IN
Use this group of parameters to define the Trigger In behaviour (see the table
below).
Marker Out
Use this group of parameters to define the Marker Out behaviour (see the
table below).

Description
Reference Clock
If
Internal Clock
is selected, the internal DAC sampling clock is synthesized
using a 10Mhz reference clock generated internally.
If
Reference Clock In
(
REF CLK
) is selected, the DAC sampling clock is
synthesized using the clock provided externally to the Ref.Clock In SMA
connector. In this case the
Ref Clk In Freq
control will appear and the user
must specify the Reference Clock frequency[Hz]
.
The frequency range of
this clock is: 5 Mhz to 200Mhz.
If
External Clock In
(
EXT CLK
) is selected, the internal clock synthesizer is
bypassed and the clock signal provided at the External Clock Input SMA
connector will feed directly the sampling clock for the system. In this case
the
Ext Clk In Freq
control will appear to define the frequency applied to
the External Clock Input signal (four values are available: 192.5 MHz, 385
MHz, 770 MHz or 1540 MHz).
Sync Clock Out
It enables or disables the external Sync Clock Output. This clock can be
used to provide a trigger input signal synchronous with the system clock
in order to avoid the Trigger In to analog Out delay from jittering and to
reduce the Trigger In to analog Out latency. When the Sync Output is
enabled the
Sync Out Freq
control will appear and the user can choose
the its frequency from a list of all the possible values.
