Place the handlebars and the
upper handlebar clamping
blocks
3 on the lower
handlebar clamping blocks
while holding the handlebars in
place.
Install large screws
2 , but do
not tighten.
Install small screws 1 , but do
not tighten.
Align the handlebars in the
clamping blocks such that the
centers of the marks
A are in
line with the gaps between
the top and bottom clamping
blocks.
Threaded fasteners not
tightened to the specified
torque can work loose or their
threads can suffer damage.
Always have the tightening
torques checked by a specialized
workshop, preferably an
authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
Tighten large screws 2 with
torque.
