Periods during which the battery
was disconnected are ignored by
the display. Make sure that brake fluid
is renewed every two years, regardless
of whether this is confirmed by the dis-
play, see also page 127.

Check Control
The following information or operating
conditions are shown as symbols from
ignition key position 2 onwards until the
malfunction has been eliminated:
1 Check low- and high-beam head-
lights and parking lights
2 Door open
3 Luggage compartment lid open
4 Check rear light or brake light
At the end of a journey, when the
driver's door is opened and the lights
are left on, an acoustic reminder
sounds.
