Luggage compartment lid
Lock
Only the master keys fit the lock of the
luggage compartment lid, see page 30.
Locking separately
Turn the master key to the right past the
pressure point and take it out when hor-
izontal.
This locks the luggage compartment lid
and disconnects it from the central
locking system. If you then hand over
only door and ignition key, the luggage
compartment lid cannot be opened, see
page 30. This extra security can be use-
ful, for instance, when arriving at a
hotel.
Opening from outside
Press the button in the strip handle, see
arrow: the luggage compartment lid will
open slightly.
When the lid is open, the luggage com-
partment is illuminated.
Manual operation
In the event of an electrical malfunction
Turn the master key fully to the left the
luggage compartment lid will open
slightly.
The luggage compartment is locked
again as soon as its lid is closed.
