5. Operating
During operating the 900-VMB, the following additional safety instructions must be followed closely.
Before switching on the machine make sure that no-one can be endangered when the machine starts up.
Make sure that no vehicles, such as forklift trucks and other equipment run over the electric cable and the dust
hose.

Before switch on
Fill the spare shot hopper with the selected abrasive up to the square tube of the castor wheel clamp.
Check the level regularly. When level is too low this could wear out the abrasive valves in short time.
The magnets of the mouth seal must be covered over the whole surface with abrasive.
Connect the blast machine and filter unit with the dust hose. This connection must be reliable with a
hose clamp and tape.
Fasten the power cable into the cable pull relief.
Connect the power supply cable of the filter unit with the generator. Be sure that electrical power
supply is correct.
The hoist cables must be free from dust, abrasive and damages.
Put in the hoist cables through the cable guide rolls (item 5
machine description) carefully. Switch on the winch motors and
let it run on minimum speed. Keep pressure on the cable until
the winch motor takes it over and pulls the cable through the
winch.

All persons in the proximity of the machine must wear safety glasses with lateral
protection as well as safety shoes and ear protection. The operator is obliged to wear
close-fitting protective clothing and a dust mask.
