Typing icons
These icons appear in the upper-right corner of the screen when you type.

Highlight, cut, copy, and paste text
1. To highlight the text, touch the beginning and the end of the text.
2. To adjust the highlighted text, slide the cursor frame.
3. Press the Menu key.
4. Click Cut or Copy.
5. Place the cursor where you want to insert the cut or copied text.
6. Press the Menu key.
7. Click Paste.
Hide the touch screen keyboard
Your BlackBerry® smartphone shows the touch screen keyboard when you tap a text field, and hides the keyboard when you
tap the hide bar just above the keyboard. You can hide the keyboard manually to display more content on the screen.
Tap the hide bar just above the keyboard.
To show the keyboard again, click the Show Keyboard icon in the tool bar at the bottom of the screen.
Type a symbol
Do any of the following:
• If you are using the full keyboard in landscape or portrait view, tap the &% 123 key. Tap the &% key. Tap the symbol.
