Services
Overview
Services are either daemon or client processes that run on the Terminal Server. You can disable any
of the services for security reasons.
Functionality
If you disable any of the daemons, it can affect how the Terminal Server can be used or accessed. For
example, if you disable the WebManager service, you will not be able to access the Terminal Server
with the WebManager. If you disable the DeviceManager service, the DeviceManager will not be
able to connect to the Terminal Server. If you do not want to allow users to Telnet to the Terminal
Server, you can disable the Telnet Server service; therefore, disabling daemons can also be used as an
added security method for accessing the Terminal Server.
By default, all daemon and client applications are enabled and running on the Terminal Server.
