iCompel Data Engine - User Guide (V3.1.2)
4. Application Licensing
The iCompel Data Engine (iDE) requires a valid license to be entered before operation.
Initial product licensing is performed using a wizard. The Licensing Wizard will be shown automatically when no valid
licenses are detected.
To successfully complete the Licensing wizard you will need:
Your unique five digit iCompel Data Engine serial number. This can be found on your original installation CD,
or purchase order. Please contact Black Box Corporation
locate your serial number.
Access to an email account to receive the product License file.
Note the license is specific to the machine running the Wizard and is not transferable. Licensing will need to be
completed successfully on each Windows machine that will run the iCompel Data Engine product.
Additional licenses may be required for each iCOMPEL that will display results. This will be clearly indicated on the
Destination Media page. Please refer to the Player documentation for more information about installing a player
license.
4.1 Reviewing and Adding a new License
Licenses can be reviewed and added in the Production Licensing dialog. This can be accessed from the Licensing
menu in any iCompel Data Engine application.

Currently valid licenses are identified with a green tick, while invalid licenses are identified with a red cross.
