3. Characteristics, intended use
The Biral circulating pumps of the series
A 802, AD 802, A 1002
A 802 KW, AD 802 KW, A 1002 KW
are used for pumping liquids in closed circulation systems

− In cooling, air-conditioning and refrigerating systems:

All types are suitable for use in systems with
− Variable feed flows (in controlled operation)
− Constant feed flows
(with optimum adjustment options for the operating point)
− External speed specification
3.1 Requirement of the flow media
– Heating water with the usual water quality (e.g. VDI 2035)
– Water / glycol mix with a maximum of 50% glycol
– Pure, thin, non-explosive media
– Water hardness lower than 25° fH (14° dH)
Above this we recommend dry-running pumps
– With no fixed or long-fibre components or admixtures
of mineral oils
3.2 Operating temperature/operating pressure
Permissible temperature for medium:
– Serie
A…: +15 °C to +110 °C
– Serie A…KW: – 10 °C to +110 °C
Permissible operating pressure: max. 10 bar
Ambient temperature: max. 40 °C

The pumps may not be used to convey flammable
media such as diesel oil and other fuels.
