Configuration by the specialized dealer
Remote access
You can al so ha ve your PABX con fi gu red by the ser vi ce cen ter at a cer ti fied dealer’s. Call the ser vi ce cen ter, get their
ad vi ce and tell them how you wish to ha ve your sys tem con fi gu red. The dealer’s ser vi ce cen ter can then con fi gu re
your PABX sys tem re mo te ly from their office. Your dea ler can pro vi de you with the number for the service center.
You can then eit her set up a re mo te ac cess link to the ser vi ce cen ter your self, or en ab le your PABX for di al-in by the
ser vi ce cen ter. The dealer’s ser vi ce cen ter on ly has ac cess to da ta on your PABX when the sys tem is en ab led for
remote access.
The fol lo wing pro ce du re des cri bes re mo te ac cess from ana log ter mi nal de vi ces, but of cour se you can al so use ISDN
te le pho nes for this.
Remote access with call to the dealer’s service center
You call the ser vi ce cen ter from an ana log te le pho ne, for ex am ple, at con nec ti on 1 (in ter nal num ber 10), or from a te -
le pho ne at con nec ti on 2 (in ter nal num ber 11). You are con nec ted with the ser vi ce tech ni ci an who then ex plains the
furt her pro ce du re to you. When re ques ted by the tech ni ci an you push the Re call flash but ton You will hear the
internal dial tone.

You are then re-con nec ted with the ser vi ce tech ni ci an and can con ti nue your call. If you in itia te re mo te ac cess using
an ISDN te le pho ne you will ha ve to push the Re call flash but ton on ce again, de pen ding on the ter mi nal device being
used.

The ser vi ce tech ni ci an can then load data from your PABX and con duct the con fi gu ra ti on ba sed on your re -
quest and needs.

The ser vi ce tech ni ci an can not, ho we ver, view or edit your pass word, but Your sys tem may be re set to its in -
iti al sta tus (0000) however.

The ser vi ce tech ni ci an then lo ads the edi ted data back into your PABX and ends the data trans fer.

This re mo te ac cess link to the ser vi ce cen ter in vol ves two con nec tions that are char ged to you.
