Con nec ti on to the PABX sys tem is made using the rib bon ca ble pro vi ded with the sys tem. The ex ter nal ana log port
and con nec ti on of the functio nal ground is made using the ports on the mo du le. The mar ked cut-out are as in the
PABX hou sing must be re mo ved for this. As fine over lo ad pro tec ti on is in te gra ted into the el meg M 1 POTS mo du le,
functi on groun ding must be con nec ted! The ana log port can also be con nec ted via ter mi nals a/b5 / a/b6 to ports la
and lb.

Ports La and Lb are elec tri cal ly iso la ted from the PABX sys tem cir cuit.
Functional ground
As the el meg M 1 POTS mo du le is equip ped with a functio nal ground con nec ti on, the re should be a »ground line«
(wa ter line, hea ting sys tem line or groun ding cir cuit con nec ti on for the buil ding wi ring sys tem) near the in stal la ti on
lo ca ti on of the mo du le. This con nec ti on is re qui red for use of the mo du le POTS. The con nec ti on to the PABX must be
made with a con nec ting lead of at least 2. 5 mm

. The functi on groun ding con nec ti on can be plug ged in to the mo du le.
Both functio nal ground con nec tions are con nec ted to get her.
Note:
If you use ter mi nal de vi ces that are lin ked with the PABX sys tem via USB or RS232, you must in stall the functio nal
groun ding, as ot her wi se »hum loops« may be pro du ced.
