8.7.3.2 Remote code
Your answering system requires a 4-digit Remote Code to permit access
to the system remotely by any touch-tone telephone. The default Remote
Code is 0000.
8.7.3.3 To view the current remote code
1. Press <MENU/OK>.
2. Press <UP/DOWN> to select
ANS SYSTEM
and then press <MENU/OK>.
3. Press <UP/DOWN> to select
SETTINGS
and then press <MENU/OK>.
4. Press <UP/DOWN> to select
REMOTE CODE
.
5. Press <MENU/OK> to show
vIEW CODE,
and then press <MENU/OK>
again to display the current remote code (
OLD CODE
).
8.7.3.4 To change the remote code
1. Press <MENU/OK>.
2. Press <UP/DOWN> to select
ANS. SYSTEM
and then press <MENU/OK>.
3. Press <UP/DOWN> to select
SETTINGS
and then press <MENU/OK>.
4. Press <UP/DOWN> to select
REMOTE CODE
and then press <MENU/OK>.
Press <UP/DOWN> to select
CHANGE CODE
and then press <MENU/OK>.
5. Use the dial key pad to enter your new 4-digit Remote Code and then
press <MENU/OK>.
6. Enter your new 4-digit code again and then press <MENU/OK> to
confirm your new code.
8.7.3.5 Access the answering system remotely
1. When you are away from home, dial your phone number from any
touch-tone telephone.
2. When your answering system answers your call and starts playing your
outgoing announcement, press the
< # >
key. The OGA will stop playing.
3. Enter your 4-digit Remote Code using the numeric keypad on the
touchtone telephone. If the code is accepted, you will hear a
confirmation tone and the system will start to play any new messages.
If you have no new messages, you must press < 2 > to start playing any
old messages. After the end of the last message, a double beep is
played.
