7.6.1  Global DND

When global 

DND

 is activated, all system handsets and the telephone base 

will be silent when there is an incoming call. Press and hold the < > button 

on the telephone base for 5 seconds to turn this feature on. The handsets 

will show 

DO NOT DISTURB

 on their display, and a small light will turn 

on just below the < > button on the base. Press the < > button on the 

telephone base to turn this feature off.

7.6.2  Handset DND

You can program an individual handset to be silent during predetermined 

time frames. This setting is independent to each handset and only silences 

the ringer of the handset programmed.

To program the 

DND

 time for an individual handset

1.   Press <MENU/OK>.

2.   Press <UP/DOWN> to select 

PROGRAM DND

 and then press <MENU/OK>.

3.   Press <UP/DOWN> to select from:

 

ONE TIME:

 The handset enters the DND mode once during the set  

 

time.

 

DAILY:

 The handset enters the DND mode daily during the set time.

 

OFF: 

Turn DND off.

4.   Press <MENU/OK> to select the option.

5.   If 

ONE TIME

 or 

DAILY

 is selected, enter the desired start time, in the  

 

format set, using the digit keys and <UP/DOWN> to change between  

 

AM or PM if required. and then press <MENU/OK>.

6.   Enter the desired stop time, as above, and then press <MENU/OK> to  

 

confirm the setting.

NOTE:

 There is no indication that a DND time has been set, until the 

handset enters the DND period, when 

DO NOT DISTURB

 is shown on its 

display.

NOTE:

 When global DND is turned on, an individual handset will continue to 

be in DND mode even after the set 

DND

 time on the handset ends.

7.7   Call Barring setting

The call barring feature can be set on any handset to prevent it from dialling  

any phone number beginning with certain digits that have been set. Three 

different barring numbers, each of up to 4 digits, can be set. If a restricted 

number is dialled, the call will not be connected, an error tone is emitted 

and the handset returns to the stand-by state. The system 

PIN

 is required 

to set or modify the call barring state, and should be changed from 0000 to 

prevent the call bar setting being easily overcome.
