Quick start to configuring SSL VPN
This section describes how to configure the BiGuard S10 with basic settings so that the SSL
VPN default group is accessible from outside your network. Before a user can access the SSL
VPN, a Group user account must be set up for them.
1. Click
Quick Start
→
SSL VPN
in the
Menu bar
. The Quick Start SSL VPN screen
appears.
2. If you have created new Groups, you can select one from the
Group
drop-down menu.
Otherwise, leave the default Group selected and click
Next
to open an account
screen.See

3. Type a user name in the
User Name
field.
4. Type and confirm a password in the
Password
and
Retype Password
fields.
5. Enable access services for the account.
Network Places:
account has access to Network Places on the SSL VPN Security
Gateway. Network Places is similar to Microsoft's familiar Network Neighborhood, allow-
ing users associated with the account to browse network shares, rename, delete,
retrieve, and upload files.
Network Extender:
account has access to Network Extender Services on the SSL VPN
Security Gateway. Network Extender is a transparent SSL VPN client that runs in the
Windows environment enabling users to run applications securely on remote networks.
6. Select applications that the user will have access to.
