Adjustments
WARNING:
Oil under pressure can penetrate skin. Seek
medical advice involving any incident where this may occur.
Oil is an irritant. Wear protective gloves when handling.
WARNING:
Adjustments should only be made by competent
persons who have read and understood the contents of this
manual. If in doubt refer to Transtacker.
WARNING:
Be careful to support raised mechanisms that
may fall when hydraulic connections are undone. This is
particularly applicable to a partially raised platform, side and
rear clamps, forks, table lift, table retract and raised
pickups. If in doubt, contact Transtacker.

Pickup Adjustments
The pickup is mounted on to the chassis by 2 vertical
square posts sliding vertically in brackets on the chassis
(Fig. 78)
. The height of the pickup is maintained by pins
inserted through holes in the chassis pickup plates and
posts.
The correct height for the pickup is when the pivot point for
the pickup frame is half way between the top of the bale
and the top of the fully lowered and retracted table. It
follows that changing the height of the tractor drawbar will
have an effect on the pickup height, though different sizes
(heights) of bales will have a more considerable effect on
the pickup adjustment.

9. Push the joystick forward
(Fig. 76)
all the way until the
machine is down on its nylon stops. Release the brakes and
permit the machine to roll forward during the first half of the
lowering process.
10. Enter ‘Road mode’.
CAUTION:
The security of the load is dependent upon the
maintenance of hydraulic pressure in the clamp cylinders.
On long journeys, particularly with older machines, it is
advisable to secure the rear clamp with a suitable ratchet
strap, rope or chains threaded through the eyes provided
(Fig. 77).
