INTENDED USE
This engine stand is a device used to mount an automotive type of engine when removed from a
vehicle. This device is designed to provide access to the engine for servicing and/or rebuilding. The
stand incorporates a locking, rotating mounting plate so that the user can turn the engine for ease
access. The stand also incorporates wheels and casters to allow mobility without load across a
smooth, flat surface.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Failure to follow these instructions could result in loss of load and/or personal injury or damage to
property. The operator of this product must have a complete understanding of all warnings and
instructions including inspection and maintenance procedures contained in this manual and on the
product label before using this product. Anyone involed in the use and /or operation of this device
must be careful, competent and qualified in it’s safe operation and use.
•
Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 450 Kg (1000 lbs).
•
Always use stand on hard, level surface capable of sustaining the load.
•
Never work directly under a suspended engine.
•
Do not attempt to move the Stand when under load. The casters are not designed to be rolled
when the Stand is supporting a heavy weight. If you need to move the engine, you must transfer
it to an approved, appropriate moving device such as an engine hoist.
•
Make sure that stand is stable. Before using the stand, check it for cracks, bends in the metal, or
signs of unusual wear. If any are found, do not use the Stand. Take it to an authorized
technician for service or repair.
•
Do not attempt to remove an engine from a vehicle using this device. Use an engine hoist (not
included). Read all the safety warnings and instructions that came with the engine hoist.
•
Be careful not to pinch fingers and hands when adjusting and using the Engine Stand.
•
Be sure that the load is centered and secured to the mounting plate.
•
Do not drop load suddenly as resulting shock to unit may cause damage.
•
Before each use ensure that all nuts and bolts are correctly fitted and tight. Do not substitute
hardware provided.
