CHECKING AND COUPLING
COUNTERSHAFT
Check the state of use of the areas where
the shaft rests on the bearing. Should they
show signs of abnormal wear, have the shaft
replaced. Make sure that the toothed seg-
ment of the shaft does not have traces of
abnormal wear.
Grease the oil seal and insert the counter-
shaft in its seat. Position it so that the refe-
rence sign on the shaft is between the two
reference signs on the main gear.
