CHECKING THRUST BEARING
DEVICE
Check the state of use of the thrust bearing
and the surfaces upon which it rests. In or-
der to check the thrusting bearing, just see
if it slides. When the device is assembled,
simulate rotation of the front centre bearing

respect to the rear one

Be careful for presence traces of meshing or
wear on the sliding surfaces.
ASSEMBLY OF CLUTCH UNIT
After having lubricated the end of the main
transmission shaft, insert the internal centre
bearing

to which the roller bearing must
be coupled

Insert the clutch basket

followed by the
21.7x38x3 washer

, upon which the inner
hub will rest

. Put on the safety washer

and after having applied medium strength
threadlocker, couple the lock nut

. In order
to facilitate insertion of the clutch basket,
lightly turn the kickstart idler gear, the id-
ler gear for oil pump control and the basket
itself, thus helping meshing of the various
gears.
