1. Locate the hydraulic valve manifold under the tank
and behind the axle.
2. Remove the retaining nut from the end of the valve
cartridge as shown at right.
3. Slide the purple ground wire and the two coils off the stem of the valve cartridge as shown
in three pictures above.
4. Clean the area around the
valve cartridge to remove any dirt
or debris. Loosen and remove the
valve cartridge as shown in the
two pictures at right.
5. Remove the valve cartridge for open center hydraulics from the
package. When held side by side, as shown in the picture at right, the
two cartridges can be identified by the difference in hole patterns. In
addition to the visual differences, the cartridges can be identified by a

Before loosening the valve cartridge, clean the area around
it to remove any dirt or debris.
