h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean
and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles
and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe
handling and control of the tool in unexpected
situations.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained.

a) Use the auxiliary handle. Loss of control can
cause personal injury.
b) Brace the tool properly before use. This tool
produces a high output torque and without properly
bracing the tool during operation, loss of control
may occur resulting in personal injury.
c) Hold the power tool by insulated gripping
surfaces, when performing an operation where
the cutting accessory may contact hidden
wiring or its own cord. Cutting accessory
contacting a

wire may make exposed metal
parts of the power tool

and could give the
operator an electric shock.
d) Do not use this tool for overhead drilling with
water supply. Water entering the power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
2) Safety instructions when using long drill bit
a) Always start drilling at low speed and with the
bit tip in contact with the workpiece . At higher
speeds, the bit is likely to bend if allowed to rotate
freely without contacting the workpiece, resulting in
personal injury.
b) Apply pressure only in direct line with the bit
and do not apply eccessive pressure . This can
provoke a loss of control, resulting in personal
injury.
3) Safety instructions when using a drill stand
a) When performing drilling that requires the use
of water, route the water away from the
operator
’
s work area or use a liquid collection
device. Such precautionary measures keep the
operator
’
s work area dry and reduces the risk of
electrical shock.
b) When the bit is jammed, stop applying
downward pressure and turn off the tool.
Investigate and take corrective actions to eliminate
the cause of the bit jamming.
c) When restarting a diamond drill in the
workpiece, check that bit rotates freely before
starting. If the bit is jammed, it may not start, may
overload the tool, or may cause the drill stand to
release from the workpiece.
d) When securing the drill stand with anchors and
fasteners to the workpiece, ensure that the
anchoring used is capable of holding and
restraining the power tool during use. If the
workpiece is weak or porous, the anchor may pull
out, causing the drill stand to release from the
workpiece.
e) When securing the drill stand with a vacuum
pad to the workpiece, install the pad on a
smooth, clean, non-porous surface. Do not
secure to laminated surfaces such as tiles and
composite coating. If the workpiece is not
smooth, flat or well affixed, the pad may pull away
from the workpiece.
f) Ensure there is sufficient vacuum level before
and during drilling. If the vacuum level is
insufficient, the pad may release from the
workpiece.
g) Never perform drilling with the drill stand
secured by the vacuum pad only, except when
drilling downward. If the vacuum is lost, the pad
will release from the workpiece.
h) When drilling through walls or ceilings, ensure
to protect persons and the work area on the
other side. The bit may extend through the hole or
the core may fall out on the other side.

Read carefully the data reported on the data plate
of your core drill and on the Technical Data sheet
that you will find in the package together with
your product.
In the following text, figures are identified by numbers,
details inside the figures by letters. Figures are depicted on
the first pages of this user manual.
Drilling technique choice
Choose one of the following drilling techniques according to
the material you want to drill and according to the diameter
and the length of the hole you want to make.
a) Hand-held dry drilling
▪
this technique is suitable for drilling into abrasive
materials like tiles, gasbeton, poroton, concrete,
reinforced concrete;
▪ dry drilling is more effective and safer if dust is
removed by an industrial vacuum cleaner. In
particular you must remove the dust if you drill
vertically downwards;
▪ if you want to remove the dust with an industrial
vacuum cleaner, make sure that your core drill is
equipped with the dust extraction integrated device
(see figure 3, components F and H) that allows you
to connect your core drill to an industrial vacuum
cleaner. Otherwise use a proper accessory, called
dust extraction device (Q), that can be mounted to
the front part of the core drill;
▪ the industrial vacuum cleaner must be suitable for
thin dust;
▪ always wear a dust mask when performing dry
drilling.
b) Hand-held wet drilling
▪
wet drilling means that you drill with water coming
out of the core bit removing the drilling dust. The
water comes into the core drill through a hosepipe
connection;
▪
this technique is suitable for holes into compact and
hard materials like concrete (reinforced or not
reinforced), bricks, stone, stone-like materials etc.
when the diameter of the hole is below 80 mm and
depth below 400 mm;
▪
if your core drill has a maximum drilling diameter
below 80 mm, follow this value;
