BELMASH MCS-400
8.1.2 Down edging (rebating) (fig. 6)
Set a blank on working table of the machine. Perform cutting at a required depth. Stop
the machine and take the blank away. Turn the blank by a required angle for rebating and
perform repeated cut.
8.1.3 Angle cutting using angle device (fig. 9)
Angle device 6 provides cutting blanks at angles from -90° to +90° according to the scale.
Before starting operation, it’s necessary to adjust the machine.
To adjust the machine, perform the following:
• mount angle device 6 on support 5 to the right or to the left from guide bar;
• press bracket 41 and fix it by thumb nut 43. This is necessary to eliminate play when
moving the device along the guide of the support;
• to adjust angle, loosen thumb screws 40;
• set the required angle using scale 44 by pointer and tighten thumb screws 40;
• secure the device by thumb screw 42.
Scale 44 is adjustable. To adjust it, set the bearing part of the device perpendicular to guide
bar using angle template and provide the angle of 90°, loosen screws 45, set “0” position
by pointer and tighten the screws.
8.1.4 Edge cut (chamfering) using chamfering tool (fig. 8)
Edge cut (chamfering) at a height of up to 40 mm can be performed using the machine.
This operation requires mounting of chamfering tool 7 on the working table and setting
the required edge size by moving the device along the grooves. Secure the device by
thumb screws 15 and washers 46.
Edge size is controlled by using an individual measuring device, for example – a rule.
9. MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
To continuously keep the machine in working order and operational readiness, daily
maintenance (DM) should be performed.
DM – daily maintenance includes:
• exterior check;
• guide bar fixation check;
• chain sharpness and tensioning check;
• check for presence of oil in chain lubrication tank;
• guide bar sprocket lubrication;
• cleaning of the machine, guide bar groove and the chain.
Exterior check includes: cable check and protective guarding integrity check.
Guide bar mounting and chain tensioning are checked by tightening bolts 32 (fig. 4).
For lubrication of chain and sprocket in guide bar, it is recommended to use 5w40 engine oil
or similar.
Cleaning includes removing of wastes from the surfaces of machine parts using brush or
vacuum cleaner.
