Source / Destination Selection Buttons
Source / Destination Selection Buttons
These buttons are those mapped with sources and/or destinations, depending on the
panel mode, and the way the panel has been configured.
Protect - Press Protect to protect a selected
destination. This protects the route to a
destination - the route cannot be changed without
first ‘un-protecting’ the destination.

Note: A protected destination displays a padlock
symbol on the destination selection button
(LCD panel only).
Protect Ext N Local or Protect Ext N Remote -

This button indicates that the selected destination
is protected. The control panel or device
responsible for protecting the destination is
indicated. For example:
• Ext 1 Local - protected from current panel.
• Ext 15 Remote - protected from another (remote)
panel.
Destinations may only be unprotected from the
protecting panel/device (unless the local panel is a
master panel).
If the local panel is protecting the destination,
press the button to ‘unprotect’ the destination.
Otherwise seek the protecting panel and
‘unprotect’ from there.
