Protect a Destination - Group Mode
Protect
To protect a destination:
1 Select the destination.
(This can be done in either Custom Group sub-mode, Dial sub0mode or ABC sub-
mode.)
2 If the destination is not already protected, then

to protect the destination, press the Protect button.
The destination button changes color (and, on an LCD panel, it displays a padlock
symbol
).

Any text on the Protect button will show the device ID of the panel/device that has
protected that destination. In this case, it would be the local panel.
Unprotect
Protected destinations can only be unprotected by:
• the panel that protected the destination; or
• a master panel.
To unprotect a destination:
1 Select the destination.
2 If the destination is protected by the local panel,

or if the local panel is a master panel, then

press the Protect button.
The destination button changes color (and on an LCD panel, any padlock symbol
disappears).
Note: If the destination is already protected:
• the color of the corresponding destination selection button
indicates that the destination is protected; and
• the Protect button color indicates that the destination is protected
(and on an LCD panel will show the device ID of the panel/device
that has protected that destination).
