CEQ™ 8000 Series Genetic Analysis System
Current Profiles – Normal Current Profile
The CEQ System continuously monitors current in all 8 capillaries while the system is
running. This current trace can be extremely useful in diagnosing certain problems.
The current profile should look similar to Figure 2.
The current ramps up to the final level in one stage. The final current level should be
approximately 5–9µA. It is determined by the separation voltage, which is set in the
method and is maintained throughout the run.
