3.5 Sensor supply connection
Connect sensor supply to contacts 7 and 8. However, do not use
sensor supply for unearthed inductors or capacitive loads.
The sensor supply is not short-circuit-proof.

3.6 Interface connection
The serial interface can perform the following functions:
-retrieve data,
-program and retrieve parameters.
Interface parameters are:
-transmission speed (Baud rate),
-parity bit,
-number of stop bits,
-address by which the master approaches the control instrument.
The interface parameters can be set on the programming level
(line 51 to 56).

Full-duplex transmission with the following features:
-asymmetric

-point-to-point connection - 1 emitter and 1 receiver
-distance of data transfer: max. 30 m
RS422
Full-duplex transmission with the following features:
-symmetric
-4 lines
-point-to-point connection - emitter and receiver (max. 32 units)

Half-duplex transmission with the following features:
