4.9 FORWARD SPEED
There are no particular limits on the forward speed. It will be decided upon based on
the operator’s experience and determined by the desired result. By way of illustration,
we nevertheless recommend you keep a speed of between 2 and 3 km/hour. Obviously,
an excessive forward speed will lead to poor quality work.
5 GENERAL SAFETY NORMS
Failure to observe the regulations or basic safety precautions may cause accidents
during operation, maintenance and repair on the machine.
Accidents can often be avoided by acknowledging potential hazardous situations
before they arise. Operators should beware of potential hazards and have the necessary
training, skills and tools to perform these tasks correctly.
BATTISTOTTI MACCHINE AGRICOLE S.r.l. cannot be held in any way liable for accidents
or damage resulting from the use of the machine by unsuitably instructed staff or
staff who have used it incorrectly, or for non-observance - even partial - of the safety
regulations and intervention procedures contained in this manual.

NEVER DISASSEMBLE THE ACCIDENT-PREVENTION PROTECTIONS FROM
THE EQUIPMENT. CHECK THE WEAR AND INTEGRITY OF ALL PROTECTIONS EVERY
DAY, AND REPLACE THEM IF WORN OR DAMAGED!
The manufacturer will not be held in any way liable in the event of accidents due to use
of the equipment without its accident-prevention protections.
The safety precautions and warnings are provided in this manual and on the product
itself. Unless (s)he heeds these hazard messages, the operator may have an accident
with serious consequences for himself/herself and others.
BATTISTOTTI MACCHINE AGRICOLE S.r.l. cannot foresee all possible circumstances
which could lead to a potential hazard. The instructions set out below cannot protect
completely against all hazards which may be encountered while operating the machine;
they will need to be supplemented by the operator’s common sense and experience,
which are the only indispensable measures for preventing accidents.
Since the equipment is combined with the tractor, the operator is obliged to read in
full both the Use and Maintenance Manual of the equipment itself as well as that of the
vehicle. In the case that tools, procedures, working techniques not explicitly
recommended and envisaged by BATTISTOTTI MACCHINE AGRICOLE S.r.l. are used,
make sure there are no hazard for both the operator and for others, and that in any
