STATIC and PITOT Test Set Leak Test
(Test Set and hoses only)
•
Confirm hoses connected to both Static (Ps) and Pitot (Pt) ports on the Test Set
– hand-
tighten only.
•
Confirm the other end of each hose is sealed with an AN4 plug
– hand-tighten only.
•
Determine the method of Leak Test (refer to section
B.1. Method 1: Leak Rate Timer
below or
on page 49).

Method 1: Leak Rate Timer
a)
Select “Control” mode. Wait Resuming Control screen appears for a few seconds.
b) Select ALT Target. ALT keypad display appears. Enter desired altitude to perform the
leak test.
c)
After establishing the Target altitude, select “Leak Measure” mode.
d) From the Main Menu, select Leak Testing and touch Leak Rate Timer.
e) Review Wait Time and Leak Time (refer to Figure 53).
f) To start the timer, select Start Leak Test (refer to Figure 53). The Wait timer starts
counting down until it reaches “0.” The word “completed” appears under the elapsed
time. At this point, the Leak timer starts counting down until it reaches “0.” The display
area turns yellow and the words “Leak Test Completed Select OK to view results” are
displayed.

g)
Touch the “OK” button and the display shows the ALT Leak rate and the CAS Leak rate.
h) Record or note the ALT Leak rate and CAS Leak rate.
i)
Touch “Cancel” to return to previous screen. Touch “Exit” and “Exit” (twice) to return to
main menu.
j) Select Go To Ground. Touch
“Yes” to confirm Go To Ground.
k) Wait for Test Set to reach Ground (ambient pr
essure altitude). Test Set displays “Unit
Safe at Ground
” (refer to Figure 54).
