ive templates. Most of the time you can use ISO, unless you are creating visual effects
to be seen from a specific perspective.
6.1.2 Viewpoint properties
Viewpoints share many properties with projectors: Projector position, Target position,
Roll, Portrait or Landscape orientation, Color, Show cone, and Show measurements.
Other properties include:
Dimension/View angle: Defines the size of the area covered by the View-
point.
Align to Object: Aligns the Viewpoint to a selected surface. The
Viewpoint is positioned to look at the surface, and
its dimensions will be large enough to cover the
surface entirely.
Resolution:
Defines the resolution of the Viewpoint, which be-
comes the resolution of the exported template.
Split Content:
Specifies the projectors for which content produced
from this Viewpoint will be cropped. Only one
Viewpoint can be used to split content.
Export 2D Image Template: Exports a simple image as seen from the Viewport,
which can then be used as a template to draw into
and make artistic images or videos.
Export 3D FBX Template:
Exports an FBX file containing all the 3D Objects of
the project, as well as a single camera that can then
be used in 3D-animation software to produce content
inside a 3D workflow.
6.1.3 Viewpoint template exportation
The Content Production tool allows you to generate a cropping template from a partic-
ular Viewpoint. See
Exporting Viewpoint templates (p.82) for more information.
6.2 Projection Study Wizard
Using the Projection Study Wizard, you can easily define a projection pixel space in
your 3D scene. Once your model has been imported, you can use the Projection Study
Wizard to automatically generate an array of projectors to cover the specified pixel
space. The Projection Study Wizard can also create a plane or curved plane that matches
the pixel space.
