The Properties pane of a projector is divided into several sections.
Name:
Name a display. (A display's name should be unique within a
project.)
Position:
Modify the position of a projector and its target, as well as its
Roll
and
Orientation
(
Portrait
or
Landscape
) attributes.
Appearance:
Identify a projector by giving it a unique color. View useful
measurements of the projector and its target. Hide the cone, if
your projection study becomes too crowded.
Settings:
Change the lens shift and throw ratio, or turn the shutter on and
off.
Turning the shutter off shuts down the projector in the projection
study, but also blanks the output of the projector in the outputs.
Specifications:
Specify the physical dimensions of the projector (box and lens
size), and enter information such as its model and lens shift.
MMS:
Specify the parameters of a moving mirror system, if the projector
is using such a technology.
Moving a projector
Because a projector is defined by both its own position and the position of its target,
moving a projector is different than moving most other objects in a 3D scene. The pro-
jector and its target can be moved independently or together. Selecting a projector in
the
Viewport
selects
only the projector
, but selecting a projector from the
Display pane
selects
both the projector and its target
. You may change which projector elements are selected
by clicking in the Viewport and using the Shift key to add to the selection. You may
also decide which elements are currently selected (projector, target, or both) by using
a right-click menu.
Screen properties
The available properties depend on the type of screen selected.
