MiPIX control unit introduction
Introduction
The MiPIX control unit has a built-in re-sync unit which receives data from the digitizer or from the previous control unit and reads
out the necessary information for that branch of MiPIX blocks connected with the control unit. After re-clocking the incoming data,
the signal is transmitted to the next control unit.
The MiPIX control unit contains four output ports. Each output port can be connected with a chain of MiPIX blocks, using flat cables.
Maximum 128 pixels can be driven per output port. So, using the MiPIX-20 blocks which contains 4 pixels per block, a chain of
maximum 32 MiPIX-20 blocks can be connected to one output port of the MiPIX control unit. As a result, one MiPIX control unit can
drive maximum 128 MiPIX-20 blocks.
