5. SAFETY DEVICES - OPERATION - REPLACEMENT PARTS
_Exercise valve with 2 pressures 0.6-1.0 bar 60-100 kPa
Selector knob on VEGETABLES position (fast cooking):
the valve works when the internal pressure of the pressure cooker reaches 0.6 bar or 60kPa
(about 113 °C).
Selector knob on FISH MEAT position (long cooking):
the valve works when the internal pressure of the pressure cooker reaches: 1.0 bar or 100kPa
(about 120 °C).
Selector knob on the valve selector in VENT position:
the operating valve rises and the internal steam is released. Tip: In order to open quickly the lid
and avoid dispersing smells in the surrounding environment, It is advisable to let a light stream
of cold water flow on the lid to completely reduce the temperature inside the pot.
Selector knob in OPEN position:
when cooking is complete, if steam is absent inside the pressure cooker, set
the selector knob to the OPEN position and lift the lid, paying attention to the
escape of steam residues.
_Lever blocking device
The lever locking device has
three safety functions
:
1) It indicates the presence of pressure inside the pressure cooker
2) It prevents accidental opening of the lid during cooking
3) It acts as a safety valve if accidentally the main valve is obstructed
_Safety device
The safety device operates in the event of malfunction of the operating valve and
of the lever blocking device. Subjected to excessive pressure, it opens, allowing
