1. IMPORTANT PREVENTIONS
This pressure cooker was conceived only for domestic use. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible
for damages due to improper or incorrect use.
In order to avoid an improper use of the pressure cooker please read carefully these instructions.
Adult surveillance is needed in the presence of children.
Do not use the pressure cooker to fry food. Do not put it inside the oven (gas, electric, microwave)
Handle the pressure cooker with extreme caution and avoid touching the hot parts.
When handling the hot pot protect your hands with pot holders or kitchen gloves.
Do not use the pressure cooker for purposes different from those intended by the manufacturer who will
not be held responsible for damages due to improper or wrong use.
This device cooks under pressure. An inadequate use can cause burns. Make sure that the cooker is proper-
ly closed (see instructions for use “Closure of the pressure cooker”)
Never force the opening and never open before the cooker has cooled down and before the pressure has
drop to zero (no stream coming out from the valve) (see instructions for use “end of cooking”)
Do not use the cooker without liquids inside since this may cause serious damages to the appliance.
Never cook milk-based recipes in the pressure cooker.
Always be careful when cooking recipes containing alcohol since vapours are flammable. Boil for approx. 2
minutes before closing the lid. Always monitor the pressure cooker during cooking.
Do not use coarse salt in the pressure cooker; after cooking use fine table salt.
Do not fill the pressure cooker over the sign MAX marked on the body.
Use caution when cooking foods that tend to increase in volume (rice, lentils, pulses, etc.) using little water
and never exceeding the level of 2 liters inclusive of foods, checking the steam escape from the operating
valve several times during cooking.
If no steam escapes, stop cooking immediately and check for obstruction of the operating valve (see chap-
ter “Operating anomalies”).
Only use suitable heat sources (see instructions for use “Suitable Heat sources”).
After cooking meat with its skin (ox tongue for instance) that might be puff up under pressure, do not press
the meat until the skin seems swollen: you can be burnt. Before cooking, prick the skin with a fork.
After cooking, lightly shake the cooker before opening, preventing in this way splashes of boiled, thick or
dense food.
Before each use make sure that the operating valve is not blocked (see instructions for use “before cooking)
Do not modify or damage the safety devices. Follow the instructions.
Do not use the pressure cooker to store acidic or salty foods as they may damage it.
