To rename a speaker group, press the
yellow
button and follow on-screen instructions.
To delete a speaker group, press the
red
button in the menu and follow on-screen
instructions.
You cannot rename or delete the
Start-up
speaker group.
To activate a speaker group, press
LIST
on the remote control, select
Speaker
and then
the desired group.
Speaker roles
Assigning roles to the connected loudspeakers allows you to specify the speakers’
function in a surround sound system and the number of speakers to be used. Use the
arrow buttons to select each of the connected speakers and to highlight a speaker role,
then press the
centre
button. As you move from speaker to speaker, a sound is produced
to indicate the speaker to be set up.

Speaker distance
Enter the distance between your listening position and each speaker. Use

number buttons to enter the distances.
Speaker level
A calibration sound is produced alternately in each of the speakers you have connected
in your sound setup. Your task is to adjust the sound level from all the connected
speakers to match the sound level of the other speakers in the group. Use
,
or the
number buttons to enter the levels.
Assisted speaker calibration
You set distances and speaker levels for each speaker group automatically if you connect
a calibration microphone to the
MIC
socket on the television. A calibration microphone
must be purchased separately at your Bang & Olufsen retailer. The calibration
microphone can only be used for speaker calibration.
Place the connected microphone in the primary listening position for the current speaker
group and start a calibration of the connected speakers by pressing the
centre
button
and follow on-screen instructions.
You can access the
Assisted speaker calibration
menu if you press
, select
the
Speaker group setup
option, and then select a speaker group.
It is recommended that background noise is kept to a minimum during calibration.
