How does BeoCom 3 work if there is no
power supply to the NT box?
If BeoCom 3 is set up as a main phone, it will
work with reduced functions. This means that
the hands-free function will not work, there
will be no light in the display during operation
and the ringer signal will only work at a low
level.
If BeoCom 3 is set up as a secondary phone, it
will not work during a power failure.
Will the Phonebook be deleted during a
power failure or if the phone link is
disconnected?
No, the Phonebook will remain intact. The
Phonebook’s data is independent of a phone
connection and power supply.
Will the Caller ID and Redial be deleted
during a power failure or if the phone link
is disconnected?
The Redial and Caller ID lists will remain intact
in the event of a power failure, but both lists
will be deleted if the phone line is
disconnected.
What is a B channel?
A B channel is a connection to a phone call or
the Internet. You have two B channels
available.
When does BeoCom 3 use both B
channels?
BeoCom 3 uses both B channels when an ISDN
service (e.g. Call diversion) is provided locally
on the phone – i.e. without a subscription with
the phone company.
Why are the indicator lights flashing?
The indicator lights are the phone’s status and
news indicators and flash when the phone
rings, there is an unanswered call, there are
new messages, the phone has been set for Call
diversion, a call is on hold or the ringer signal
has been switched off.
How can I stop the indicator lights
flashing?
Press Line 1 or 2 for the line that is flashing.
Then turn the wheel to see the reason for the
flashing and press OK for more information.
How do I delete or get right out of an
operation?
Press C to delete an entry.
Press C and hold to leave a menu or function.
Why is an ISDN service not working?
Contact your phone company to have the
service activated.
Why is the same phone number shown
twice in the Caller ID list?
You have received a call from the same
number on both line 1 and line 2.
Can I use ‘Call diversion Busy’ at the same
time as ‘Call Waiting’?
No, if you have activated ‘Call diversion Busy’,
you will not receive Call Waiting calls – Call
diversion has the highest priority.
What happens if I reject a Call Waiting
call?
If you reject a Call Waiting call (by pressing C
and OK), the person who is calling will hear
the engaged tone.
