MANUAL CONTROLS
OPERATE HYDRAULIC WINCH PER INSTRUCTIONS!
1. The chipper and towing vehicle must be blocked
or anchored in a solid location.
2. Winch operation is a one person job. This means
the person who hooks the winch line to the wood
material is the same person who engages the winch.
3. Place the winch toggle switch to the on position.
This will stop the feedwheels.
4. Locate the handle on the winch unit and position
it to the free spool mode by pulling the handle to the
side then down to the bottom position.
5. Pull the winch line to the material to be pulled.
6. Attach the winch line securely to the wood
material that you want pulled to the chipper.
7. Engage the winch by moving the handle to the
side then up to the top position.
OPERATING PROCEDURE
8. Make sure everyone is clear. Use the winch
control valve to now pull the wood material towards
the machine.
9. The winch line cannot be under load when the
winch clutch handle is put in the disengage position.
Do not force or damage to the winch will occur.
10. Unhook the winch line from the wood material
and attach the end of the winch line end to the winch
hook mount.
11. Hook the winch line to the winch hook mount and
reel the winch line in.
12. When the winch line is reeled in all the way, place
the winch toggle switch in the off position and press
the feed forward button. The feedwheels will begin
feeding wood material.
