Precautions
To avoid electromagnetic interference, it is recommended that the LCD
Plotter be installed no less than 0.3 meters from a compass and 1
metre from the GPS.
The LCD Plotter is water resistant, but not water proof. Use the cover
when not in use. The rubber cap must always be properly inserted into
the socket on the right part of the plotter and be removed only to insert
or remove cartridges. In either situation, this process must be
performed in a totally dry environment. The rear connectors that are not
connected to cables must remain protected by their appropriate caps.
3.3
Panel mounting
The plotter must be fixed to the panel using the 4mm bolts supplied.
The length of the bolts should be cut, if necessary, to allow for 5mm
thread for the plotter plus the thickness of the panel. A drilling template
is supplied to facilitate the location of the panel cut-outs and location
holes. The rubber sealing gasket should be placed between the plotter
and bulk-head to prevent moisture penetration and reduce the effects of
any vibration transmitted through the instrument panel.
