IONISATION CURRENT MEASUREMENT
To measure the ionisation current, remove the jumper between
terminals 30-31 on the printed circuit with the burner off.Connect to
the terminals a microammeter having a suitable scale to have the
burner restart. Once the flame has appeared it will be possible to
measure the ionisation current, the minimum value of which to ensure
the working of the equipment is shown in the specific wiring diagram.
At the end of the measurement, connect the jumper that has been
disconnected.
The minimum ionisation current needed to run the equipment is 6
µA.The burner flame generates a significantly higher current, which
usually does not require any control by the equipment.Should the
ionisation current need to be measured, a microammeter must be
connected in series to the ionisation electrode lead by opening the
connector “C”, see wiring diagram.
