Chapter 4. Operation
*3. The user can specify the desired gas conversion factor to handle gas mixtures and gases other
than standard compatible ones. For details regarding gas conversion factors, contact the azbil
Group.
*4. Changing the gas type and changing the gas type conversion factor (
P-08
) affect the opera-
tion of analog output scaling differently.
The following explanations assume that function setup
10
(analog output type selection) is set
to
00
(0 to 5 V output).
(1) If the gas type is changed
The flow rate measurement range changes to the value specified in the
surable flow rate and output voltage for various gas types (P.32), but the analog output
scaling does not change.
Scaling is the same as if function setup
08
(gas type selection) is set to
00
(air/nitrogen).
Example: CMS0050
If the gas type selection is set to
02
(carbon dioxide) in function setup
08
(gas type selec-
tion), the flow rate measurement range is between 0 and 250 L/min and the analog output is
between 0 and 2.5 V.
In addition, if function setup
0G
(analog output scaling) is changed, the analog output
changes to 0–5 V for the specified flow rate range.
Any desired flow rate range from 10 to 250 % can be set in
P-0G
, analog output scaling, with
the following as 100 %:
00
: 0 to 500 L/min (0 to 5 V)
0
1
: 0 to 300 L/min (0 to 5 V)
02
: 0 to 200 L/min (0 to 5 V)
03
: 0 to 100 L/min (0 to 5 V)
04
: 500 L/min
(2) If the gas type conversion factor is changed
If the flow rate measurement range is changed by changing the gas type conversion factor,
the analog output scaling also changes, and in the same way.
Example of CMS0500
If function setup
08
(gas type selection) is changed to
08
(Gas type set by the user) and
parameter
P-08
(gas type conversion factor) is set to 0.500, both the flow rate measurement
range and the scaling become 0–250 L/min.
In addition, if function setup
0G
(analog output scaling) is changed, the analog output
changes to 0–5 V for the specified flow rate range.
Any desired flow rate range from 10 to 250 % can be set in
P-0G
, analog output scaling, with
the following as 100 %:
00
: 0 to 250 L/min (0 to 5 V)
0
1
: 0 to 150 L/min (0 to 5 V)
02
: 0 to 100 L/min (0 to 5 V)
03
: 0 to 50 L/min (0 to 5 V)
04
: 250 L/min
