Configure your device
Replace the lens
1. Stop all recordings and disconnect power from the product.
2. Disconnect the lens cable and remove the standard lens.
3. Attach the new lens and connect the lens cable.
4. Reconnect the power.
5. Log in to the product’s webpage and go to
Image > Exposure
.
6. Select the
P-Iris lens
you have installed.
Note
If you use a DC iris, manual iris or optional i-CS lens there is no need to select a lens driver.
7. For the changes to take effect, you need to restart the device. Go to
Maintenance
and click
Restart
.
8. Adjust the zoom and focus.
Note
For a lens with P-iris, DC-iris, or manual iris, manually adjust the focus on the lens before fine tuning the focus through
the web interface.

Select scene profile
A scene profile is a set of predefined image appearance settings including color level, brightness, sharpness, contrast and local
contrast. Scene profiles are preconfigured in the product for quick setup to a specific scenario, for example
Forensic
which is
optimized for surveillance conditions. For a description of each available setting, see
The device interface on page 16
.
You can select a scene profile during the initial setup of the camera. You can also select or change scene profile later.
1. Go to
Video > Image > Appearance
.
2. Go to
Scene profile
and select a profile.
Select exposure mode
To improve image quality for specific surveillance scenes, use exposure modes. Exposure modes lets you control aperture, shutter
speed, and gain. Go to
Video > Image > Exposure
and select between the following exposure modes:
•
For most use cases, select
Automatic
exposure.
•
For environments with certain artificial lighting, for example fluorescent lighting, select
Flicker-free
.
Select the same frequency as the power line frequency.
•
For environments with certain artificial light and bright light, for example outdoors with fluorescent lighting at night and
sun during daytime, select
Flicker-reduced
.
Select the same frequency as the power line frequency.
