out of band IMD products, with the most important of these products being the
product that is spaced above visual carrier by the difference between the color
subcarrier and Aural Carrier.
The in phase precorrection consists of two stages of precorrection, each consisting of
a threshold and magnitude adjustment. The threshold controls the point that the
precorrection cuts in, and the magnitude controls how much the gain increases once
the threshold is reached.
The quadrature precorrection has three stages, two similar to the in phase
precorrection. The third stage is a bit different, as it can either boost the signal
beyond the threshold, or compress the signal beyond a certain threshold. This is
useful as the phase distortion is sometimes non-monotonic.
