Input module diagnosis in input data range
Without single bit diagnosis (SMD switch S1/6 = OFF), the input
module reports as a 1 word input module.
If the single bit diagnosis is activated on the SMD S1.6 switch,
the input module reports as a 2 word input module. The
overload messages from the sensor voltage are stored in one
byte in this additional input data range. The diagnostic message
reports the status of the electrical error monitoring which
constantly tries to restart the system unless the user takes
appropriate action.
The order depends on the type of master used. A master
compatible with AVENTICS systems reads the input diagnosis
bytes in the order given below (with masters compatible with
Siemens, the high and low bytes are exchanged):
