With a return, the purchase receipt with name, date, location, and designation of the bikes has
to be provided. The battery pack should be packed well for transport (impact resistant, short
circuit-proof) and according to applicable safety rules.

Return and disposal of ave. batteries is registered at Federal Environment Agency in
Germany (No. 21001900)
IMPORTANT: In the case of a disposal of the whole Hybrid bike give the Lithium battery back for
recycling, as described above, and the small built-in battery of the operating computer into the
battery ton. The rest of the bike should be disposed like other old vehicles in an ordered way,
by sorting out electrical and mechanical parts.
Your hybrid bike has a number of valuable mechanical components (scrap metal), electronics
like the operating computer (screw off) and the electric drive unit (loosen the 3 expansion
bolts), which can be disposed as pollution-free electrical components (RoHS). In any case, oil,
grease or brake fluid on the wheel should be removed separate from the material and the
plastic & rubber parts (tires, hose, etc.) cut, befor giving it to residual waste.

Your ave. Hybrid bike has built a number of high-quality bicycle components.
The original components usually have their own instruction guides for handling and maintain-
nance, enclosed in the bike box. Please follow these instructions and recommended values such
as pressure, tightening torques, settings etc.
For maintenance please get in contact with your local ave. dealer. Warranty claims of compo-
nents may be processed directly with the manufacturer of the original equipment.
In the following chapter the use of important components of your Hybrid bike are briefly
described, including risks mitigation for improper use and avoidable defect situations.
