Original Operating Manual 1-2013
35
To switch on the e-drive unit (9), you have the following options:
- pushing the operating computer (3) onto the bracket (4), starts the drive automatically
- switching on the Intuvia power button (5), provided the operting computer is attached
- pressing the power button at battery side, provided the battery is installed
Note: The pedals of the Hybrid bike should not be burdened during switch-on of the system.
Otherwise the pressure would set the base value of the bracket torque sensor incorrectly. If the
drive is accidentally switched on with loaded pedals or the system warns to ‘release the pedals’
(at display), then turn it off and switch it on again, with no load on the pedals.
The e-drive supports at once, as soon as you start pedaling. The level of support depends on
your settings on the operating computer. When you stop pedaling or reach a speed of over 25
km/h resp. 15 m/h, the support of the Hybrid bike drive is switched off. The drive is activated
again and again automatically by pedaling, as long as the speed does not exceed 25 km/ h.
If you want to turn off the e-drive, press the switch on Intuvia or the battery. If you leave your
Pedelec active (e. g. on a rest break) - don’t worry - the system switches off automatically after
10 idle minutes, to save energy.
