4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the screw that secures the module to the Main

Board.

Removing the internal SCIM module

Use the procedure in this section to remove a SCIM module from the Secure Router 2330.

 Important:

The internal SCIM module is not hot swappable. Do not open the Secure Router 2330 top

cover while the unit is powered.

Prerequisites

• Ensure you have a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
• Ensure the Secure Router 2330 is powered off.
• Ensure you have an antistatic bag or sheet available for the SCIM that you are

removing.

Procedure steps

1. Remove the Secure Router 2330 top cover. For information, see 

Removing the

Secure Router 2330 top cover

 on page 86.

2. Remove the screw that secures the SCIM module to the Main Board.
3. Grasping the edges of the SCIM module, pull the module up and off of the Main

Board connector on which it is seated.

4. If you are not installing a SCIM module at this time, replace the chassis top cover.
