AudioCodes™ MP-104 Gateway Quick Start Installation Guide

Setting Up the MP-104
Follow the instructions below to set up the MP-104.
To set up the MP-104:
1.
Attach the Ethernet cable to the ETH-1 RJ-45 connector to connect to your LAN.
2.
Plug in the AC power cord and connect the DC power supply. The green lamps on the
LAN and Ready light-emitting diodes (LEDs) light. For details on LED indicators, refer
to the
MP-104 User’s Manual & Installation Guide
. The back view of an MP-104 is
shown below.
3.
Attach up to four phone lines (e.g., loop start lines) to the RJ-11 connectors.
NOTE:
Up to 200 m (660 ft) of 24AWG twisted pair cable can be used for phone lines.
4.
Create a new directory (e.g., Audiocodes MP_104) in the Windows Explorer on the PC
that is connected to the MP-104.
NOTE:
Make sure the MP-104 and BootP/TFTP Server are on the same submit
because the BootP/TFTP Server does not work across subnets.
5.
Unzip the
MP104v44
zip file (part no. 841.0165) that is provided in the Inter-Tel IP
Devices CD into this folder.
6.
You may want to create a subfolder for the
BootP
zip file within the same folder, and
unzip the
BootP
zip file into this folder. The folder looks like the one shown below.
WARNING
DO NOT use the manufacturer-provided CD-ROM that contains generic downloading files
and the Media Pack MP-1xx Media Gateway Fast Track Installation Guide. For the Audio-
Codes MP-100/104 Gateway to work properly with the Inter-Tel Axxess system, you must
use the customized downloading files and the quick start guide that are provided on the
Inter-Tel IP Devices CD-ROM (part number 827.9162). Using the manufacturer-provided
files may cause application errors, and the system may not work properly.
