HDBaseT Testing
The web GUI of the AT-UHD-PRO3-1616M provides a tool for testing the signal integrity of HDBaseT cables. This
tool is useful for troubleshooting and identifying defective or damaged Ethernet cables which are connected from the
ZONE OUT
ports to a receiver.
1.
Login to the web GUI. Refer to
Introduction to the Web GUI (page 57)
for more information, if necessary.
2. Click
HDBT Test
, under the
Configuration
section in the menu bar on the left side of the screen.
3. Click the
HDBT Zone
drop-down list and select the desired zone to test. Before testing a zone, make sure that
an Ethernet cable is connected between the
ZONE OUT
port and a compatible receiver.
NOTE:
The drop-down list provides the option to select any output channel, from
Out 1: Output_1
to
Out 16: Output_16
. However,
Out 17: Output_17
through
Out 20: Output_20
are HDMI outputs,
and are not valid selections. If either of these channels are selected, the
Start
button will be
disabled.
4. Click the
Start
button to begin testing the selected channel.
•
If the HDBaseT link integrity is good, then all tests will display as “Pass”.
•
If any part of the HDBaseT cable fails, then a numerical value, in decibels, will be displayed next to the
associated pair, under the
Signal Quality
section. These values can be reported to Atlona Technical Support
Engineers to help resolve possible issues.
