
Programming Call
The MERLIN Attendant can be configured to handle calls
Handling Options
in two ways:
•
Immediate Call Handling
The MERLIN Attendant answers all the calls coming
in on the specified lines. The receptionist handles
callers who are calling from rotary phones or who
require additional assistance.
• Backup Call Handling
Incoming calls ring first at the receptionist position.
Calls are answered by the MERLIN Attendant only
when the receptionist fails to answer in a specified
number of rings. The number of rings can be
programmed. See “Call Processing Options” later in
this section.
