A1.1 Freezing cycle will not start
The ‘Start Cycle’ button was not pressed properly
Press the ‘Start Cycle’ button again.
A1.2 No power to unit
The ON/OFF switch is switched to the OFF position
Switch ON, the switch will illuminate red.
The power lead is not properly connected to the unit
Check the power lead is properly connected into the rear of the unit.
There is no power to the power lead
Check the power lead is plugged into a socket and that the socket is switched
on.
The protective fuse in the EF600 unit has blown
Get a qualified person to check and replace the fuse in the power plug at the
rear of the EF600.
A1.3 Data logging does not function
Communications lead between the EF600 unit and the computer is not
properly connected
Check the connections at both ends.
The communications lead is plugged into the wrong port of the computer
Check the lead is plugged into Com port A (commonly called the Serial port)
in the rear of the computer.
The Com port on the computer has not been renamed ‘Com 1’
Rename the Com port ‘Com 1’.
EF600 unit not switched on
Check ON/OFF switch is illuminated and switch to ON position if necessary.
