Programming: Stamps with Manual Setup
NOTE: If piece being stamped is less than 5" wide, refer to section on Narrow Media for
information on how to set up for narrow media.
IMPORTANT
BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO PROGRAM ANY JOB, SET UP FEEDER AND
TABBER TO FEED MEDIA. THEN PROGRAM JOB.
This exercise has you using Head 1 and programming manually. Head 1 can place Tabs on edge
of a piece just like Head 2. It can also place a Tab on leading edge of a piece. When applying
stamps to a mail piece, Head 1 is used because it has more flexibility in placing stamp. Because
of the direction it unrolls, stamp must be placed on trailing edge of piece. Stamps should be
manually programmed to assure proper placement.
